Brittany Murphy

Last year we were all devastated to hear about the death of Brittany Murphy. There was speculation over her death, what was the cause? could she have been saved?

Today however autopsy results have been released and it has emerged that her death was indeed accidental.

Murphy suffered from anemia that left her open to pneumonia and the use of prescription drugs added to her vulnerability. Basically her death could have been prevented.

Sadly we can't turn back time and help Brittany but we will always remember her for her awesome personality and quirky sense of humour!

Julius malema

The ANC youth league has rallied in support behind Julius Malema.

After a report by 3rd Degree last year, it was revealed that ANCYL President Julius Malema was living a lavish lifestyle way beyond his means- that's if what he said about only earning R20 000 a month from the ANC.

Recently however it has emerged that Malema's companies has been awarded numerous tenders from his home province- Limpopo. reports indicate that within one year he was awarded over 20 contracts worth up to R38 million (each).

Now we know how he affords that Land rover and beautiful houses.

Of course Malema and the Youth League have denied this and say that the media is lying- well we expected that didn't we!

Tiger Woods

Today- Tiger Woods is set to make a formal public apology.

After an accident outside his home last November it emerged that Woods had had multiple affairs with a variety of different women.

One even claimed to have has an ongoing relationship with him.

After much controversy and ‘he-said’ ‘she-said’, Woods sort out professional help for his problems and is now due to make his first speech since the alleged events.

Family, media and a small group of friends are expected to attend this ‘apology’ and we can’t wait to see what explanation Tiger has for his questionable behaviour.

KZN storm

A devastating storm has ripped up parts of KZN and rain is still coming down.

Late last night it began to rain. Then the rain turned into a massive and destructive storm.

While parts of the province are being visited by MthokoZisi Duze, head of Disaster Management in Kwa- Zulu Natal, local reporters have said that areas worst affected include Mooi river and Kokstad.

The whole of South Africa has been experiencing bizarre and unusual weather patterns, that are completely out of season, in the past month alone, over two alone people had been killed by flooding in Johannesburg.

We just hope something is done soon to help people who have lost their homes and to prevent anymore deaths!

Power ball winner

The Lotto's powerball has finally been won.

The prize money has rolled on month after month since last November and now at a staggering R91 million it has been cracked.

The humble and most deserving winner is Standley Philander a 52 year old mute and deaf cleaner from Cape town.

The win could not have come at a better time for Standley, his wife and two small children who were struggling to make ends meat. But now all their financial problems have been solved!

We wish Stanley and his family nothing but the best for their future!

Mandela's release

Twenty years ago, on the 11th February 1990 Nelson Mandela was released from Victor Verster prison, now Robben Island.

After serving a sentence of 27 years this great former President and freedom fighter walked free and became South Africa’s first black President in a free, fair and equal democracy!

His release had been negotiated by President at the time, F. W De Klerk and it was clear to the whole country and world that this man was about to change ‘the Republic’ in a way that was thought impossible.

Politicians and the public alike have been celebrating Madiba’s release and are expected to do so well into the weekend. It has been an absolute privilege to live in this time and to be witness to the great things Nelson Mandela has done.

Viva Mandela Viva!

Protests in Balfour

Protesters in the Province of Balfour Mpumalanga have continued to cause havoc.

Amongst their protests of poor service delivery and broken promises they have gone on the rampage, burning down libraries, stoning houses and wrecking everything insight including streetlamps!

The protesters have intensified their demands and are now calling for the local mayor's (Mabelane Tsotetsi) resignation.

Yesterday afternoon the situation reached boiling point, when police were 'forced' to fire rounds of rubber bullets to disperse an angry mob.

All we can say is we hope this terrible criminal activity is stopped soon before someone gets seriously hurt!

Jacob Zuma says he's sorry

Jacob Zuma has apologise this weekend for his recent behaviour.

After recently marrying his third wife it has emerged that he has fathered a child, with Soccer boss Irvin Khosa's daughter. This has caused much scandal as, not only has he commited adultery but the ANC advocates safe sex, which he clearly has not done here.

Adding insult to injury Cope and other opposition parties are calling for Zuma's resignation.

We eagerly await the outcome of this one.

To express your opinion on the matter participate in today's poll: 'Jacob Zuma's apology is sincere?' Yes or No.
