New Judge on American Idol

It seems that since Simon Cowell left the hit show American Idol, the ratings have dropped! Who would have thought!

The Producers of the popular show have introduced new judges to try and boost ratings and for a while had Ellen Degeneres, the comedian as a full time Judge...

However this has been short lived and Ellen has now left the show, we have no idea why.

After what we are sure was a scramble to replace her, American Idol Producers announced that they have appointed a new Judge...

Non other than Jennifer Lopez! More commonly known as J.Lo.

We think she will be great on the show and can't wait to hear her comments, will they be nasty, honest or kind?

Jersey Shore Star shed's some weight

Jersey Shore Star Sammi Sweetheart has reportedly lost 15 pounds! That's about 7 kilo's in South African terms.

The Star said that being in Miami for the second season of the MTV hit show made her want to look better as Miami is full of beautiful people!

Not that we ever thought she needed to lose any weight...

Sammi shared her diet secret by saying she simply stopped eating pasta! That must be really hard for an Italian! Also she stepped up her exercise routine and from what we can tell, she is very happy!

'Sister, Sister!' Perhaps you remember this sitcome? Or maybe the twin sisters who starred in it?

Thats right, the Mowry girls, and they aren't high school going teens anymore. They are all grown up and doing what most adults do, well at least one of them is. That is, getting married!

Tamera Mowry, now 32 years old- announced her engagement to long time boyfriend and Fox News correspondent- Adam Housley.

Adam proposed to Tamera last week while the couple were holidaying in Italy.

We wish these two a long and happy life together!

Kate Winslet dating

It's seems like everyone in Hollywood is either getting married or divorced!

Kate Winslet who is best known for her role as Rose in the epic block buster Titanic (and starred opposite the hunky Leonardo Di Caprio), is recently divorced!

Winslet separated from her Producer Husband Sam Mendes about four months ago. The couple had been married for a number of years and have young children together.

More recently however, Kate was seen out and about with a new Beau! And not just any man, a younger male model!

Well done to this Cougar! We wish you nothing but the best!

Lilo's special treatment

After we were assured that Lindsay Lohan would not get any special treatment while she was in jail and would be treated like any common criminal, she is getting special treatment!!!

While other inmates have to wait until the weekend to see their family and friends, it seems Lindsay can have visitors when ever she likes, for as long as she likes. Sounds like a party to me, not a stay in prison for comiting some serious offenses.

When Warders were questioned about this, they responded that her visits were allowed because of security reasons, what? More like, Lilo is a celebrity and we want to get on her good side!

We really doubt this is the way to teach Lohan a lesson.

Eminem is back

Incase you didn't already know this, Eminem is back!

With the release of his new album 'Recovery', Eminem is on top again with awesome singles and teaming up with the hottest Artists!

Lil' Wayne, Rihanna and Haley Williams from Paramore are just the some of the mega Star's that can be found on Eminem's latest release.

We weren't too sure about Eminem and what had happened to him but we are very happy to report that this 'gangsta' is back!

Look out for his 'Love the way you lie' music video, which he collaborated with Rihanna on and stars Megan Fox- should be good!

Lindsay reports to jail

When Lindsay Lohan was convicted and sentenced to 3 months in jail we could hardly believe it!

We thought that she would never go to jail and that she would appeal her sentenced, and it did look that way! Lilo went about hiring a new Lawyer to appeal her sentence and was even seen going into a rehabilitation facility in L.A.

But then, her new Lawyer ditched her! For reasons undisclosed...

Still we didn't think Lindsay would actually serve time.

Then today Lohan showed up at Court to report to the Judge and start serving her sentence!

Authorities have said that Lilo may only serve a fraction of her sentence, provided she behaves properly and others have speculated that she may even use the same cell Paris Hilton did when she was convicted back in 2007!

Good luck Lilo we hope for your sake the time flies!

Wesley Snipes sentenced to 3 years

Lindsay Lohan isn't the only celebrity that the law has caught up with!

Wesley Snipes is officially spending the next three years in jail! Back in 2008, charges were brought against Snipes for Tax evasion. He was found guilty but has been out on 'bond' ever since. This is the heaviest sentence someone in his position can receive.

While Snipes' Attorney deemed the sentencing harsh, the Judge felt it was more than appropriate for the crime.

Snipes had appealed the conviction but sadly for him, the decision has not been reversed and Wesley has to report to the court house to start serving out his time, any day now.

Christina Milian divorces

Not only is Christina Milian a talented singer and actress, she is also amazingly beautiful!

So when we heard she was splitting from her husband- The Dream, we were shocked and wondered why?!

Reports soon emerged that The Dream had been having an affair, photos of him and his mistress appeared in the papers and Milian fans were outraged, especially since Christina has just given birth to the couple's first child!

The Dream however has come out on his personal blog, saying that the other woman was not the cause of the couple's breakup, he also goes on to claim full responsibility for the demise of the relationship.

While we appreciate the fact he is taking ownership of his mistakes, we can't ignore the incriminating pictures!

'The Hills' not real

If you are a fan of the reality TV show, The Hills on MTV, then this may shock you!

The Hills is based on the concept of following around real teens and young adults, who live, work and go to school in California. More recently the show followed its characters as they grew older and took on jobs in different cities across the States...

One thing didn't change though and that was the drama, fighting and 'relationships'.

Now in a shocking revelation, Brody Jenner who was meant to be in an intimate relationship with Kristin Cavallari- has revealed that, although he is very close to Kristin, the whole relationship was fake! And the last scenes of the final episode are also not real!

We are completely shocked by this and wonder what else was just 'put on'!

Katy Perry a Bridezilla

According to reports in and around Hollywood, Katy Perry is a Bridezilla!!

That's right people, the innocent, sweet-faced Star is rumoured to be an absolute nightmare when it comes to planning her wedding. I mean we have heard about Diva Brides but never expected our 'California gurl' would be one of them...

Especially since she is marrying one of the most laid-back guys around- Russell Brand! We wonder what he thinks of this frightening behaviour.

Furthermore Perry has asked Rihanna to organise her Bachelorette party but Rihanna is hesitant as she does not want to get on Katy's bad side! Will Rihanna accept the 'honour'? We are yet to find out!

Mel Gibson gone mad

After the first anti-Semitic rant from Mel Gibson, we were not his biggest fans. In fact we were appaulled by his racist behaviour but as the years went on we kinda forgave him. Now this!

Gibson's ex-girlfriend Oksana has recorded Gibson berating her and admitting to using physical force with her.

The tape was secretly recorded by Oksana when Mel was on one of his rampages! The tape is now owned by Radar- check out Radar.com to hear the tape for yourself! We must warn you though that it is extremely offensive.

We are completely shocked and hope Gibson is run out of Hollywood for good this time!

Spain win World Cup

After a full 90 minutes and then extra time, Spain went on to defeat the Netherlands in the Soccer World Cup final last night!

Tensions were running high as both teams battled it out for top spot and for the majority of the time spent on the field, it looked as if the game really could have gone either way but then suddenly in extra time, Spain scored the only goal of the game between the two sides.

Soccer City was full to capacity and the excitement and enthusiasms was tangible!

Sadly the SWC has now come to an end but all South African's can be proud of their Nation for putting on an outstanding show!

Linday Lohan's Lawyer quits

Well there really are no surprises in this story, if you think about it.

Lindsay Lohan has been in so much trouble lately and on top of it, she seems to think everything is a big joke. We will give the girl one thing though, she really can act!

Those crocodile tears that splashed down her cheeks in court when she was sentenced to three months in jail looked really real!

But now it seems even Lohan's attorney doesn't buy her act anymore! Shawn Chapman Holley has quit as Lohan's Lawyer for reasons unknown, however Lilo has wasted no time employing another attorney to appeal her jail sentence!

We can't wait to see the outcome of this one and hope Lindsay finally learns her lesson!

SWC Final

After an exciting albeit boring at times game last night, the SWC final has been decided!

Spain will meet the Netherlands on Sunday night at 8:30 at Johannesburg's Soccer City to play the final game at the first African world cup!

The teams are set to battle it out and either way, whichever team wins, it will be their first time winning a world cup!

The only other game left is for second and third place. Uruguay will play Germany on Saturday but the real excitement will be watching the final and the closing ceremony!

We can't wait and wish both teams the best of luck!

Lindsay Lohan goes to jail

Yes that's right after all the missed appearances in court, leaving the country without permission and wild partying, Lilo will be spending time in the pen!

Yesterday Lohan appeared in front of a Judge, who was not 'buying' any of her lies! The Judge very frankly stated all the facts about the original case- Lohan was speeding and caused an accident. At the scene of the accident, Lindsay lied and tried to blame the accident on someone else- saying she wasn't driving!

Also once a drug-alcohol test was performed- Police discovered that Lohan had twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood and cocaine was also in her system!

Lohan has been sentenced to 3 months in jail and 3 months of in-patient treatment, for her drug and alcohol problem!

Considering all the facts we think Lilo got off lightly!

Cristiano Ronaldo is a Dad!

Everything lately has been about football. Unfair play, diving, penalties and missed goals...

But today we bring you a piece of football news which is particularly juicy!

Cristiano Ronaldo announced on his website this past weekend, that he is the proud father of a baby boy! Who is the mother you ask... We have no idea! All we are being told is she is North American.

News on the baby is that he is being taken back to Portugal to be raised there by Ronaldo's Mother and two sisters. The mother of the baby was only a surrogate!

Well we are sure the little guy will be spoilt rotten and be just as cute as his Dad!

Paris Hilton arrested

Paris Hilton made sure that absolutely everyone in South Africa knew she was in the country.

While other stars, such as Mick Jagger and Leonardo Di Caprio flew in under the radar, it seems as if Hilton had her Publicist send out Press Releases announcing her arrival in the country.

Paris plans were to attend a football match in PE, but the party didn't last very long...

Hilton and her entourage were caught with weed! And Hilton was forced to appear before the FIFA court!

The case is still developing but Hilton's rep claims that it was all a big misunderstanding. We reserve our judgement until the true story comes out!

Drake cancels tour

Drake is already a great rapper, songwriter and dancer and adding to this he had just been named 'Best male Hip Hop Artist' at the BET Awards!

On top of all of this, it appears that Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham is also, caring, kind and puts his Mom first.

Sadly Drake's Mom, who raised him by herself has not been well at all lately and will have to undergo surgery. In order to be by her bedside, Drake has made the difficult decision to cancel his European Tour! ( and it's a big sacrifice as he would have made millions of dollars).

Drake who admits his Mom is the only person who loves him unconditionally has asked for some privacy at this time and we respect his wishes!
