More 3-D...that we love

And here we thought we just about had enough of this 3-D craze, and they announce the Star Wars movie series will be released again...in 3-D of course!

George Lucas has said Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace will show in 2012 followed by Episode II during the next year and so on.

A statement on the Star Wars website reads: "The cutting-edge conversion will take that immersion to the next thrilling level."

This will certainly be all sorts of awesome! May the force be with them...we can hardly wait!

A new leaf?

It seems troubled star Lindsay Lohan is trying to clean up her act - yet again, and has checked herself into rehab.

The 24 year old star has admitted to failing a drug test and could remain in rehab until October 22, when she has a hearing in court.

Lohan's mum and manager are looking to take out a conservatorship, much like the Britney Spears experience, when the singer's dad took charge of her finances and general well being.

And we hope the talented LiLo can clear her act in the same fashion too!

His own path

Jonas Brothers fans - middle brother Joe Jonas is going solo.

Now now, no need for hysterics - the band of brothers will not spilt for good, as this is merely a side project for Joe. You could say he is spreading his, er, wings.

Apparently ol' Joe is already working with different producers and writers on music and aims for a more dangerous and sexy sound, almost like a Justin Timberlake vibe.

We eagerly wait to see if he can pull it off!

Move off your action heroine throne Angelina Jolie, Katherine Heigl is set to take your crown!

"One for the Money" is the big screen adaptation of the Stephanie Plum female bounty hunter series by author Janet Evanovich. And it stars Katherine stars in the lead role!

The former Grey's Anatomy darling says she got to hold big guns, wear don't-mess-with-me boots and generally be a tough talking, street wise dame.

We hope this babe can pull it off!

Bad boy does Sin City

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...or so the saying goes. Usually, it makes for tantalising, global headlines.

Case in point: singer Bruno Mars has been arrested on the suspicion of possessing narcotics...oh, in Las Vegas out of all places. Police have confirmed the singer had a white powdery, believed to be cocaine.

The "Just the Way You Are" crooner has worked with stars like B.O.B, Travie McCoy and Flo Rida.

Tsk tsk...another celeb bites the, er white dust...shameful really.

Bieber in a movie?

From You Tube to overnight global sensation, but the Bieber wants more? Justin Bieber, it seems, is determined to go into acting too!

He has already done a guest spot on CSI and filmed a 3D concert movie. Now he tells Teen Vogue: "I want to be the lead star in a movie." His manager also reveals that Bieber is already involved with Will Smith on a project, but the details are still under wraps. What they do reveal though is that the plot of the project is a fictional piece of work but could have similarities to Justin's life.

Did your Bieber fever max the thermometer after this revelation? Probably...

Onto the big screen?

Sex and the City did it, so why not any other successful series? We're talking about TV shows making a transition to the big screen. Why not milk a cash cow as much as you can, eh?

The latest doing the rumour mill rounds is that a Ugly Betty movie could be in the making. The shows runaway, quirky starlet America Ferrera said: "No news on it! I think the that rumour is well and alive - it's always a possibility I suppose! But I do not know about any plans."

Oh well, at least she seems keen if this fabulous idea comes to fruition! We'd love to see her crazy get-ups, you know, to make us feel good about our dress sense.

Going down under

The Queen of Talk sealed her rep as the Queen of Giving as well when The Oprah Winfrey Show began it's 25th and final season. Oprah Winfrey amazed her audience by telling them she is sending them all to Australia for a va-cay!

Soon-to-be-daddy and pilot John Travolta strolled onto the stage wearing a Qantas uniform saying the airline is collaborating with Oprah for the trip.

And no one can forget that she gave each audience member a car back in 2004. Imagine the goodies she will pull out of her hat in her final show - wouldn't we love to get tickets to that one!

The latest star to quit Twitter-verse is none other than singer John Mayer.

Even though he more often than not over shared, he quite cleverly shut down his account with: "What does this button do?" According to Mayer's standards, that is a pretty simple tweet.

A few months ago he incorrectly predicted that the social media network is pretty much yesterday's news.

Other celebs to have quit twitter is Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Amanda Bynes. And yes, our personal lives continue to flourish.

VMA Queen

Kanye and Taylor who? They are so last year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

This year's gal is undoubtedly Lady Gaga. The pop singer made VMA history scooping eight leading awards! Some of her accolades included Female Video, Pop Video and the coveted Video of the Year for her smash hit Bad Romance.

"I was so nervous for tonight that I would let my fans down. I promised that if I won tonight, I would announce the name of my new record. It's called Born This Way," she said before giving music lovers a 'lil teaser.

It's been a busy week for this pint sized celeb-to-be.

Nine year old Willow Smith, daughter to Will and Jada-Pinkett Smith, has released her first single, Whip My Hair. And she has already landed a record deal with Jay-Z's label Roc Nation!

Jay-Z had nothing but praise for the child star when they appeared on an American radio show: "I believe in Superstars. I believe in big records and big superstars, and I believe that she has both," he said.

We will definitely keeping a keen eye on this prodigy too! Watch this space...

Sorry Twihards!

Stop the presses - the Twilight Saga's biggest stars will not be attending the MTN Video Music Awards (VMAs) this Sunday!

Unfortunately, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart (who play Edward, Jacob and Bella, as if you did not know) will pass the awards this time around. Yes, it will be strange not to have them there...

While this is very sad news indeed for Twihards around the world, we hope the other cast members make an appearance to represent.

Hey, don't hate the messenger...we'll be licking our wounds too.

End of an era

The unofficial royalty of England, Posh and Becks are rumoured to be selling their U.K pad, 'Beckingham Palace'. Soccer star Davis Beckham and his singer wife Victoria are looking to permanently settle in Los Angeles, USA.

Apparently the Beckham children are also pretty much settled into the American way of life and they have all made plenty of friends.

Their UK pad boasts two pools, a petting zoo and an extensive garden.

They already have mansions in LA, Dubai and France...but hey, whose counting?

What a record breaker

Freshly Ground and Shakira have officially made history.

Their song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) has become the best selling World Cup Soccer song of all time! It has sold over a whopping two million singles! It is also number 3 as the most viewed music video on YouTube.

And seriously, can anyone even remember any other World Cup song? We didn't think so. Can we get a round of whoop whoop?

Singer to producer

How quickly they grow up! From singing in Disney's numerous High School Musical hits, Zac Efron will now produce and star in a big screen thriller.

The film, entitled Art of the Steal, is about a con artist who leads a double life and takes part in many elaborate heists while pretending to be a good, upstanding citizen. It was written by Max Borentstein and based on an article that appeared in Wired magazine.

Fans are certainly excited to see dear old Zac make this move away from, er, soppy romances. We wish him the best of luck!

Squeaky clean

As if we need more reasons to heart that curvaceous babe, Kim Kardashian!

Out of the many young starlets, she stands out for her, erm, good behaviour - no DUIs nor rehab for her! On The Tonight Show she said she avoids trouble because she does not like the taste of alcohol. She also admitted she has never gotten into drugs and credited it to having a cosy, tight knit family.

But that does not stop her sisters from teasing her."I did say that, at 30, I'm going to have a drink to lighten up because my sisters say I'm so boring," she joked. "So I tried a White Russian a few months ago...It tastes like chocolate milk, and it's kind of amazing."
