Some strange news for today....
Disney theme park workers can now grow a beard or even a goatee, if they fancy, Times Live has reported?
Since the 1950s the company has banned all facial hair on people who work in the theme park. In 2000 they gave a little leeway, saying employees may grow moustaches if they were on holiday.
At the beginning of February, the growth of beards will be allowed. A spokesperson for Disney said that it was time for a policy shift, and added there will be casual Fridays for workers who do not have contact with visitors.

Houston remembered
Whitney Houston had a voice like no other. Tragically, she died the night before the 54th Grammy Awards. Her memory was honoured many times during the awards show.
Singer Jennifer Hudson paid tribute by singing Houston's hit: "I Will Always Love You." Back in 1993, the song won two Grammy Awards - Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.
Host LL Cool J led with a prayer and recording Academy President Neil Portnow also acknowledged Houston in his telecast remarks.

And the biggest winner is...
Adele walked home with a lot of gold after the Grammy Awards - so much so she would not hold it all with both her hands. The uber talented singer scooped up six accolades and it was her first live performance since her vocal cord surgery late last year.
She won the following awards: Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Short Form Music Video for "Rolling In The Deep," and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone Like You." The last time a musician walked away with six awards was Beyoncé in 2009.
All we can say is congratulations to a well deserved winner!

Schools to suffer again?!
According to Cosatu some schools in SA are set to close on the 7th of March
as part of a national strike.
Talking on he strike - against labour brokers and Gauteng tolls - Gauteng secretary Dumisani Dakile said that the only way this could be averted is that if government do away with labour brokers. Many still ask, what has this got to do with the closing of schools?
It seems that Dakile is only involving the schools as a last attempt to get governments attention due to the lack of "political will from government to resolve the problem".
The real question is, is whether the Youth should be the ones to suffer for this?
