The end of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith?

There have been rumours buzzing around recently that after 13 years of marriage, and two already famous children, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith will be splitting up. The couple have recently denied this though.

the inflammatory statement was published in Touch magazine and while the Smith's don't usually comment on tabloid gossip, they reportedly chatted to E! News about the matter: "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact," the couple said.

This has to be Hollywood's most talented family: Will (42), has titles like Hitch, Independence Day and I Am Legend, Jada (39), starred in movies like The Matrix Revolutions, Reign Over Me, and Collateral while the kids have done just as well: Jaden, 13, star of the 2010 remake of Karate Kid and The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Willow, 10, who had a music hit with the song Whip My Hair and starred alongside her father in I Am Legend.

To top it all off? Just to make sure they were involved and their products recieved some publicity, many service providers involved either gave huge discounts of worked for free!
The wedding invitations which cost R70000 were free, and the cake which cost R42000 was a pressie, even Kim's three designer wedding dresses - R140000 each - were given to her.

Sex and the City could be be back on air

The down-low in Hollywood is that Sex and the City could be coming back onto out TV screens!

After 6 seasons the hit TV show ended in 2004 followed by 2 movies - and now that creator Darren Star the shows star Sarah Jessica Parker have decided on the direction it should take, it looks like there might be a season 7.

According to a source (reported by the Mail on Sunday newspaper) "ultimately Darren Star - the man who created the hit series - will have the overall say, but everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in. Sarah Jessica Parker will be producing. She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the Sex and the City 2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen."

The Hiltons: 1 million for just one hour

Neither Paris or Nicky Hilton make much of the news these days, but that doesn't mean that they're old news, the sisters were recently paid $1 million to spend 1 hour at the party of a Middle Eastern princess in France.

The princess, throwing her 'sweet' 16 party was apparently “ecstatic” to have the Hilton's for the hour - and who wouldn't be?

The sisters have been busy of late, attending party after party around the Mediterranean amongst all their other endeavours.

Wathint'Abafazi Wathint'imbokodo! (You strike a woman, you strike a rock.)

For those who are not sure what all the fuss is about National Women's Day, and why the 9th of August is a particularly special day, it is all about commemorating the national march of women on this day back in 1956.

The March was organised as a petition against the law that said that all 'African' people had to carry a 'pass' - having a 'pass' branded you as an outsider to South Africa and was a chock-hold for freedom. Women around SA, lead by Helen Joseph, Albertina Sisulu, Lilian Ngoyi and Sophia Williams-De Bruyn.

Speaking to Channel24, Judith Sephuma, SA Afro-jazz singer summed up the day in her own words: "I believe that women are celebrated every day, but to give a national women's day is really special as it marks how far we have come and how much South Africa is changing. I believe it's not easy to be a woman, but because you are a woman – we have an amazing strength to overcome, the patience to understand even when we shouldn't. Let's stand together by supporting one another in any way we can. Be proud to be a woman."
