China bans Gaga, Backstreet and Katy Perry?

OK, we admit, Lady Gaga we can maybe understand, and Katy Perry, well possibly... but the Backstreet Boys? China's ministry of culture has declared 100 tracks by certain artists (including Gaga, Backstreet and Katy Perry) as 'unsuitable' for its citizens - even going as far as making or streaming them illegal!

The ministry says they won't tolerate tracks of "poor taste and vulgar content",and while actually most of the songs on this list are by artists from Taiwan and Hong Kong, six of Lady Gaga's tracks have been banned: The Edge of Glory, Hair, Marry the Night, Americano', Judas and Bloody Mary.

Other tracks on the list: Katy Perry's Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) , Beyonce's banned Run the World (Girls), Backstreet Boys' I Want it That Way, Britney Spears's Burning Up
