Kim: Not a 'forever' marriage. 72 days later....

We all kept tabs on the whirl wind wedding of reality TV star Kim Kardashian, but it's clear now that the whole affair was a little bit of a waste - and possibly shallow enough to be a publicity stunt.

Just 72 days of marriage 31-year-old Kim ended her second marriage to Kris Humphries saying that things had “not worked out as planned”. "I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best." According to TMZ.com Kris is “bummed” about the break up.

Lady Gaga in a dress of lettuce?

According to Times Live, Indian animal rights activists may have a point: "First, Lady Gaga wore a dress made of meat. Now, how about one made of lettuce?"

Gaga is going to be visiting India next week to go to an invitation-only show in New Delhi to celebrate the opening of India's first Formula 1 race.

In a letter to Gaga, PETA India have appealed to the singer honor "India's reverence for animals by turning vegetarian for the duration of her visit and posing for photos in a lettuce gown to promote the importance of not eating meat" said Times Live.

"If she agrees, we'll make her a dress entirely of lettuce and held together by pins and threads. It will be a full length gown, and we'll make sure it looks sexy," said Sachin Bangera of PETA India.

DJs Cleo and Mzi stole "Mr Provider"

DJ Madenza Lash, of Soweto has accused DJs Cleo and Mzi of stealing his song, Mr Provider, which he says was actually released in 2009 by Miriri Productions.

The chart-topping "Mr Provider" by DJs Cleo and Mzi is apparently 'similar' to Madenza's (real name Dennis Rasebotja) original song, and on his facebook page he vented that "DJ Cleo and DJ Mzi chopped my song Mr Provider. That's my song bros. Watch de space."

Madenza has said that he will look to sue the two DJ's if they don't acknowledge his part but DJ Mzi and DJ Cleo say he's just looking for a bit of fame. "It is very sad that he claims we stole his concept when no one even knows about him," said DJ Mzi."This guy is trying to ride on the hype that is out there with Provider. It is like someone claiming that Hlokoloza is his. How many songs are out there about Hlokoloza for example? I am not going to entertain him."

Lindsay Lohan fails again

Evey time time Lindsay Lohan goes into rehab and then onto probation we think 'maybe this really IS the last time', but then she just falls right back into the old routine. Does she even care?

On Wednesday a furious Los Angeles judge who is starting to think that she doesn't, berated Lindsay for once again failing to do her prescribed community service or taking the probation at all seriously. The Superior Court Judge, Stephanie Sautner, described her last ruling of probation on a shop-lifting charge a "gift" and told Lohan, "there's something called looking a gift horse in the mouth".

Even though Lindsay (now 25) left the court room in handcuffs, she didn't spend any time behind bars thanks to a bail application.

Lady Gaga says NO to Lady Goo Goo

Lady Goo Goo was just becoming a celeb itself before Lady Gaga won an injunction to stop the makers of the online children's game to stop promoting their animated character - Lady Goo Goo.

Lady Goo Goo is quite a creepy looking, sunglasses-wearing blonde baby character on a site called Moshi Monsters, an site \that lets kids adopt a virtual pet monster online. The Lady Goo Goo character even appears in The Moshi Dance, now a YouTube hit itself, and had a single on the way.

Last week, however, a British High Court ruling stopped the Lady Goo Goo creators in their tracks saying that they could no longer continue  "promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public" any work involving Lady Goo Goo thanks to Lady Gaga's injunction.  1 Gaga. 0 Goo Goo.

Rhythm City's Naomi Modise is back. And as bad as ever!

In real life Moshidi Motshegwa is petite and pretty, but on screen she's Rhythm City's bad girl who won't stop at anything until she gets what she wants. Naomi is out of the mental institution and back to plotting to get Miles (Peter Sephuma) form Lucilla.

A veteran of SA's acting, Motshegwa has shown countless times the talent she possesses in all areas of the genre: she has graced several stage productions, more than half a dozen feature movies and countless TV series and soapies.

"I think the issue of stage versus TV has been discussed at length, and the one thing that emerges is that the stage is often the best training ground for actors. As to how well one does either on stage or television depends on the character one is portraying," she says.

"Each character comes with its own challenges in terms of the intensity of its portrayal by the actor. The main difference, though, is that the stage is live and akin to a meal one has to cook right away, while the other is like a pre-cooked meal."

Catch Motshegwa on Rhythm City on e.tv on Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm

Tutu vs. Government

Twitter has been on fire today as SA celebs, media personalities and even politicians have been tweeting their dissapointment at the cancelled Dalai Lama visit.

Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has been the most vocal in his feelings over the issue, condeming President Jacob Zuma's government for not allowing the the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, enty into SA.

Radio 702 presenter Kieno Kammies tweeted: "The pimple on the bum of Africa, Mugabe is allowed in, but not the dalai lama eish!!!!! The revolution has fallen flat on its face."

Yesterday, two days before Tutu's 80th birthday, the Dalai Lama - who first applied in June for a visa to visit South Africa - withdrew his application because he did "not want to create any inconvenience to anyone, individuals or governments," his office said.

City Press editor Ferial Haffajee posted:  "How can we not give a visa to the Dalai Lama? Mandela's South Africa? Tutu's South Africa? Maybe we aren't that anymore... make a noise!"

Idols finale looming

Dave van Vuuren and Mark Haze couldn't have spelt too well last night, with the end of this season of Idols coming up. Friday saw the pair take the stage as they sang three songs each as they recorded of the first part of the seventh season finale.

Many Idols veterans have noted the talent of the two finalists, but few have actually been...lyrical, about their talents. Jason Hartman, winner of Season five, admitted not watching much of this season at all, and Heinz Winckler (first ever SA Idols winner) said: "Neither of them sing in or does a style of music that I would go out and buy, to be honest, but I can appreciate their strong talent ... I liked Lefa [Pike] and Kelly [Fortuin] a lot and I was disappointed to see them go."

At the moment Dave seems to be the favorite for tomorrow night, Heinz Winckler, 5FM presenter and avid Idols fan Anele Mdoda and last season's runner-up, Lloyd Cele, all casting their votes his  way - but we will only know tomorrow night!
