Once upon a time Justin Bieber and his mom were so cash-strapped that they could only afford to eat at restaurants if they shared a meal.

How things have changed.

In an interview with InTouch Weekly magazine, Pattie Mallette admits she struggled as a single mother and often worked three jobs just so they could survive.

"We'd go out for dinner but we could only do it if we split something to eat and ordered water," she said.

When the 18-year-old pop star became a multi-milionaire thanks to his successful recording career, things quickly changed and Pattie says now he takes care of the bill.

"Now, when we go out to dinner Justin says, 'Don't worry mom, I've got the cheque."

Britney's boys set to follow in mom's dancesteps

Former child star, Britney Spears, says when it comes to dance moves, her sons are naturally talented and love to rock out.

The boys, Sean Preston (7) and Jayden James (6) get their groove on to tunes like Snap's 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' and Justin Bieber's 'Baby'.

In an interview with America's ELLE magazine, Britney said: "I have to kind of guide them a little bit, but for the most part they remember it. They like to rock out."

The 'X Factor' judge revealed her own fears about entering the entertainment business too young.

"Jayden is too young to really see if he's interested in being famous. But Sean Preston, he really loves to dance." But she added: "Any time you see a child star, it's mainly because of the parents. If they love to perform and dance on stage, if that's their thing, then of course you don't want to keep it from them, their dream. But then again, it's hard."

Madonna helps Kelly Osbourne drop a dress size

Madonna has been giving Kelly exercise and diet tips to help her shed the kilos she packed on earlier this year.

The unlikely pair previously worked together on Madge's clothing range, Material Girl, and now the super fit singer is offering Kel weight loss tips.

A source told Closer magazine: "Madonna's helped Kelly get back to a size eight. Kelly does the Ballet Barre workout five days week - she loves the dance element and can see how it's changed her shape.

"Madonna's also encouraged her to eat in a more macrobiotic way - cutting out wheat, artificial sweeteners and cheese," spilled the source. Kelly's avoiding carbs to beat bloating and has been eating boiled eggs for breakfast, grilled chicken salad for lunch and fish with steamed greens for dinner.''

R-Patz and K-Stew officially a couple - again

The estranged Twilight stars, Robert and Kristen, have finally reconciled. That's the news from the UK's The Sun newspaper. Rob was reportedly left gutted after Kirsten cheated on him with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders. But according to The Sun, he decided to give her a second chance after realising her affair was a "stupid mistake".

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper that the couple had worked it out after a lot of long, tearful talks. "They pretty much decided they couldn't live without each other," the source revealed.
"Kristen poured her heart out to Robert and told him it was a one-off and a mistake. Rob can see how truly sorry Kristen is and has totally forgiven her. They really do love each other."

The couple have moved back in together and are due to appear side by side on the red carpet in November for the final Twilight film Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

K-Stew/R-Patz break-up conspiracy theory

Many conspiracy theorists, like Crushable writer Jenni Maier, believe that the photos of Kristen cheating on Robert with Director, Rupert Sanders, are fake and the entire cheating scandal was a publicity stunt.

It did seem a tad odd that Kristen, whose romance with R-Patz was so private, would resort to exercising a moment of indiscretion in such a public place that's known to be swarmed with paparazzi.

One Direction scoop 3 MTV Video Awards

Brit boy band, One Direction, dominated at the MTV Video Awards this week, where they scooped three of the awards on offer.

The five former X-Factor contestant won awards for best pop video, best new artist and most share-worthy video at the Los Angeles event. And a pat on their back from band manager, Simon Cowell.

"Congratulations 1D. I'm very proud of you. Celebrate!" he tweeted.

"Thank you so much! We have grown up watching this show and to collect one of these [awards] straight away is incredible," said Niall Horan, speaking from the stage

The awards show kicked off with a performance by Rihanna, who also took home the award for video of the year for her hit 'We Found Love'.

Other awards saw Coldplay scooping best rock video for 'Paradise', Katy Perry picking up best art direction for 'Wide Awake' and Chris Brown claiming best male video and best choreography for 'Turn Up the Music'.

Billie Joe home from hospital

After being rushed to hospital in Italy over the weekend and having to cancel shows in the area, Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, is now back in LA and resting up, according to E! Online.

"Although the band didn't disclose details about Armstrong's illness, reports claim it had something to do with Armstrong's throat," reported E!.

Bandmates, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, released a video apologising to fans for having to cancel their Italian gigs.

"We apologise profusely," Dirnt said. "Billy got rushed to the hospital last night due to illness. The doctors don't think it's a good idea for him to play today."

"We're beyond devastated," Tré Cool added. "We're as sad as you guys are. Billie's extremely upset about it, and we'll see you very soon."

Are Lady Gaga's followers 'fake'?

Lady Gaga has almost 30 million followers on Twitter, but are they for real? In a report in The Guardian last week, a British start-up, alleged that only 29% of Gaga's followers are legit.

The company, Status People, claims to have devised a tool for rooting out fake and inactive Twitter accounts which are being used to inflate the number of followers on certain accounts.

So is Lady Gaga really faking it? Well, it's likely, but she probably doesn't even know it. It's unlikely a celeb of Gaga's status is managing her own social media accounts, which means a publicist or agent has probably recruited a few extra followers on her behalf.

According to E!, social media experts say these accounts can be bots or a group of zombie accounts created by clever programmers. "Those zombie accounts can then be ordered to follow a sweet of Twitter accounts that make them look like a certain demographic - say, young moms or teen metal fans."

If the report is true, Lady Gaga may have closer to 9 million real followers. Yup, that's 9 big ones. Doesn't sound like a figure that needs much inflating to us!

Usher back on stage

The last few months have been really tough on Usher, but after a short break, he's ready to take up his place behind the mic again.

The R&B singer stepped out of the spotlight for a few months to deal with some personal issues, among them the death of his stepson and a court battle with his ex-wife for custody of his two sons, which he won.

According to a Huffington Post report desperate fans struggled with the singer's time out. "Man, it's like, 'Shut up and entertain, we don't care about your personal stuff'," joked Usher.

And entertain he will.

Usher will be one of the favourites at this month's iTunes festival in London, performing free shows at the Roundhouse alongside other big names like Muse, Alicia Keys and One Direction.
