Zuma bringing the fear of God into the election race...

With the start of the election race we are beginning to see the struggle for power increase between the leading ANC party and the Democratic Alliance.

The DA have asked that Zuma apologies to SA for some remarks he made in a speech in Mthatha in Eastern Cape on Saturday where he said that voting for the ANC was like choosing to go to heaven, while voting for any other party would be choosing the devil.

"When you vote for the ANC, you are also choosing to go to heaven. When you don't vote for the ANC you should know that you are choosing that man who carries a fork," Zuma said.

Zuma’s remarks have also offended the Christian community, with African Christian Democratic Party president Kenneth Meshoe calling Zuma’s comments a disgrace and blasphemous, adding that no angels would be wearing ANC colours.

"His words are incendiary and dangerous, in that they seek to mobilise along religious lines and sow seeds of division in our communities...Indeed, this is an act of shameless political and religious blackmail. Mr Zuma should apologise unreservedly for these remarks," the DA said.
