Charities to benefit from wedding

They have everything - along with a good heart: the Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton, have asked all who will to share their joy and give them pressies for their nuptials
to rather put the money their would have spent into a fund to support 26 charities, many of which are not well known.

Those set to benefit from the gifts are charities across the commonwealth including earthquake stricken Christchurch in New Zealand, the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and Australia's Royal Flying Doctor Service. Others are in and around Britain - some reflecting the prince's military background with donations to help service personnel and their families, such as the Army Widows' Association.

And don't worry SA - even though we won't be getting a public holiday, we won't be missing out on the fun completely! Hotels, social clubs, schools, charity organisations and the British High Commission will be throwing parties and showing the wedding on giant screens!
