Locnville twins say they were assaulted by cops

So the Locnville boys have been busy - you may have heard that on Wednesday morning that the duo claim to have been assaulted by police at a petrol station in Claremont. The investigation has begun.

Brian and Andrew Chaplin, 21, (yes - of the same family as 1920s film star Charlie Chaplin!) tweeted furiously just after the incident at 5am on Wednesday morning. After partying at the Trinity nightclub, they went with a friend to a petrol station where they were they got into a scuffle with four men who were verbally abusing the friends.

The twins walked away, but as they got into a taxi to go home they were pulled out by A couple of " aggressive" policemen who then allegedly sprayed Brian in the face "with Mace/pepper spray. [The Chaplins] managed to get away after a group of security guards who saw the incident assisted them".

When the guys phoned the police to lay a complaint, Andrew said that the officers "laughed at me and hung up each time". After much public pressure, an assault case has been registered and is being investigated.
