It's an absolute priority to know your HIV status and we encourage all our users to know theirs. There are testing stations at every clinic around the country and all results remain private. Counselling is also provided- all of this is free of charge.
The Gauteng Government has announced that as of today- Thursday 1 April 2010, a new treatment will be available in all Gauteng hospitals and clinics.
The Government has implemented a new policy that entitles Pregnant Women and TB sufferers to recieve ARV's. Also all babies under one year old, irrespective of their CD4 count are entitled to treatment.
We think this is a great advancement in Government policy and thanks those involved in promoting such change.
